KATALIMA stalked from the three and four paths, challenged leaving the seven sixteenths pole and took the lead at the three eighths, drew clear toward the quarter, rounded the far turn at the rail and was steadily handled to draw off. WEST VIRGINIA PAM rated close inside, bid leaving the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn turn about the three path, proved no match in the lane and settled for second best. HANDSOME JOANIE stalked two deep, chased toward the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn about the three path and ran evenly to late stretch before flattening stride.
