Chart notes
BALIUS saved ground stalking the pace, angled out leaving the quarter pole for room, took the lead nearing the eighth pole and maintained a safe advantage. ROCKED bumped with Atlatl shortly after the start and stumbled, then was in tight between horses on the backstretch, dropped back slightly, rallied six-wide into the stretch and finished fast. LAGO DE ORO was prominent from the start, rallied along the inside into the stretch and finished strongly. ATLATL bumped with Rocked shortly after the start, then was prominently place, came four-wide into the stretch but lacked a rally. LOOSE BALL saved ground while being unhurried, angle out nearing the three-sixteenths pole, altered course further out nearing the sixteenth pole and was gaining late. CHARLIE THE GENT saved ground setting the pace into the stretch and gave way when headed. J C EXPRESS was forwardly placed to the stretch while racing three-wide and tired. MARKSMAN ON TARGET dropped back early and failed to threaten. THE RACE WAS HAND TIMED.
