Chart notes
VAN DUSEN (GB) led the way while saving ground around the first turn, dueled on the inside up the backstretch and around the far turn, kicked clear in upper stretch and drew off to the wire. B G LEE raced in the two path around the first turn, pressed the pace on the outside up the backstretch, dueled from the two path around the far turn and chased the winner to the wire. BUNKER HILL saved ground around the first turn, continued up the backstretch in the middle of the pack on the inside, navigated the far turn from the two path, began a bid passing the quarter pole and gained ground on the outside in late stretch. CURLIN'S MALIBU brushed with the horse to his inside leaving the gate, raced at the back of pack on the outside through the opening half mile, continued around the far turn in the two path, switched to the inside in upper stretch and improved position in the final furlong. DIABLO DADDY brushed with the horse to his outside at the break, recovered to chase the leader from the three path around the first turn and up the backstretch, began a bid coming around the second bend and weakened in the final furlong. KEN LOVES KITTEN hit the gate leaving it, raced off the pace on the outside in the early going, angled in to save ground around the far turn and passed tiring horses in the lane. LUNAR MISSION raced in the three path around the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack for the run up the backstretch, came around the second turn still in the three path and was empty from there. COMMANDER BIZ saved ground while racing in tight quarters around the first turn, came up the backstretch off the pace on the inside, continued to save ground around the far turn and made no bid. LONG STORY was away from the gate slowly, hustled up to track the leaders while saving ground through the opening fractions, continued to race inside around the far turn and tired in the stretch. HORNBEAM raced in the two path around the first turn, continued up the backstretch and around the far turn in the middle of the pack on the outside and faded in the stretch. ITS MR POPPI TO U raced in the three path around the first turn, trailed the field throughout, saved ground around the second bend and was never a factor.
