SIR ALFRED JAMES settled off the rail the opening turn, started a bid leaving the seven sixteenths pole, took the lead three wide midway on the far turn, dueled clear into the stretch and held well under steady stretch handling. EASTERN BAY saved ground on the first turn, bid leaving the three eighths pole and rounded the far turn in the three path, dug in to take second mid-stretch then flattened later yards. DONTMESAWITHME raced well off the pace about the three path, gave chase nearing the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn in the three path, eased to the outside leaving the turn and came along for third the final strides. WONDRWHERECRAIGIS stalked from the three path, picked up the chase leaving the three eighths pole and took a slim brief lead two deep nearing the quarter, but was met midway on the far turn and flattened inside the eighth pole. SOUND OFF raced well back inside, bid leaving the three eighths pole, improved off the rail on the far turn and ran evenly in the lane. KADRI rated a slim lead inside then drew clear into the backstretch, came under pressure leaving the seven sixteenths pole, was met at the rail approaching the quarter and weakened on the far turn. SHACKS WAY raced with the pace inside through the front stretch, but dropped back approaching the half mile pole and faded through the backstretch.
