Chart notes
FEAST was bumped at the start, showed good early sped to set the pace, dueled with HOLLYWOOD JET on the turn, then dug in gamely inside of HOLLIS in the stretch drive, battled back determinedly in the final sixteenth and prevailed late. HOLLIS broke out bumping a rival at the start, chased close up inside, then between rivals on the turn, bid three wide at the quarter pole, rallied to a short lead, dug in gamely outside, then drifted out in deep stretch and was outfinished. BAYTOWN BEAR was bounced around after the start and steadied, raced off the pace, steadied entering the turn, rallied in the two path in the final furlong and got up for third. HOLLYWOOD JET was bounced around at the start, chased the pace, bid on the turn, dueled with FEAST and weakened in the final furlong. TROPHY CHASER was bumped at the start, raced three wide off the pace, three wide on the turn, came four wide into the lane and lacked a rally. SPUN AND WON was bumped at the start and steadied, raced off the pace, moved up inside on the turn, made a rail bid at the top of the lane and then weakened. Jockey Objections by the riders of BAYTOWN BEAR against FEAST and SPUN AND WON against HOLLIS, both regarding the start, were dismissed.
