Chart notes
PANAMA (GB) settled off the early pace, made an advance nearing the quarter pole, angled widest in the stretch run, surged and got up under strong encouragement. STUD LOVIN was rated in the early stages to race in hand, moved up three wide near the five sixteenths pole, led deep stretch but couldn't hold off Panama late to be outfinished. HURRICANE DEBBIE stalked the early pace, raced near the inside through the far turn, angled five wide near the quarter pole and kept on to the wire. SMOKE LIGHTENING settled off the early going, raced along the inside around the far turn through the stretch run and had not enough for the top trio. LIMITED D'ORO broke to the inside, bumped with rival, raced near the back of the pack early on, was near the inside past the quarter pole and raced evenly late. EL GAVILAN pressed the pace from the outside and weakened in the stretch run. BAYTOWN GET IT ON was void of early speed, raced five deep near the quarter pole and never threatened. TODDCHERO vied for the early lead from the inside and gave way. BAYTOWN JAGGER was bumped at the break, stalked the top trio early on and faded.
