Chart notes
MIDNIGHT PIRATE well placed, moved up on the two path through the second turn, angled in and got through inside the leader into the stretch, shook clear, then drew off and was kept to the task. MIDNIGHT FROST mid pack, moved up inside through the second turn, angled four wide into the stretch, made a steady gain and edged up for the place. NEVISIAN SPIRIT allowed to settle, saved ground through the turn, came through inside into the stretch, made a steady gain and weakened the final furlong. SONG OF INDY set the early pace on the inside, stayed on when challenged down the backstretch, tracked the leader through the second turn, angled out to bid outside of that one into the lane, then weakened late and held a share. BOURBON BLAST was no factor. SWEET MOOCHIE vied for the early lead on the outside, took command down the backstretch, drew off through the second turn, then faded into the stretch.
