Chart notes
BENNY THE BOOK stalked off the rail then challenged at even terms into the backstretch, contested at a close disadvantage nearest the rail on the far turn, but dug in under determined stretch handling to regain the edge in late yards. LOVE MACHINE stalked from the three path the first turn, gave chase leaving the seven sixteenths pole and took the lead three wide toward the quarter pole, contested the edge two deep on the far turn but was met in late yards and reluctantly ceded. SHAKIN IT BIG TIME saved ground on the first turn, gave chase nearing the three eighths pole, raced off the rail on the far turn and ran evenly to late stretch before flattening stride. GREYSHOTT came away a bit awkwardly and settled in the three path the first turn, picked up the chase toward the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn in the three path then flattened in the lane. BOBBYS CASE LOAD set the early pace inside, was met into the backstretch and gave chase at mostly even terms from that point, but, steadied in tight and brushed the rail past the five sixteenths pole and faded through the far turn. After an inquiry and subsequent claim of foul against the riders of both Benny The Book and Love Machine, for alleged interference past the five sixteenths pole, lodged by the rider of Bobbys Case Load, the Stewards found no cause for change.
