Chart notes
MINE TO HOLD set the pace while racing off the rail, drew off leaving the turn and was ridden out to prove much the best. AMERICAN FLEET was allowed to settle early, advanced towards the inside on the turn, swung out five wide leaving the turn and rallied well to be clearly second best. DEVOTED KITTEN was four wide into the first turn, chased the pace four wide, made a mild three wide bid on the turn but weakened. VISHNU was five wide into the first turn, then settled early, was three wide by the quarter pole and had no rally. ESPRESSO CALIENTE was reserved early, then was five wide by the quarter pole and came wide into the lane and lacked a rally. FOR THE MOMENT tracked the pace three wide, made a mild bid two wide on the turn and tired. TORAZO tracked the pace on the inside and was through after a half mile.
