Chart notes
LEAD MONTEREY pressed the pace from the inside, moved up to offer a bid nearing the half, opened a clear margin into the lane, was engage by GREENBRIER with a furlong to run, vied with that rival and proved best in a stiff drive. GREENBRIER raced unhurried early, saved ground through the turn, remained inside for the drive, reached the winner in mid-stretch, vied with that foe but could not get by in the drive. SILVER DADDY lacked early speed, raced five-wide through the turn and finished with a steady rally. CHIPPSTER was off slow, lagged early, moved five-wide through the turn and did not reach contention. PALICE REVENGE pressed the pace while racing four-wide and weakened after going a half. PHANTOMOFTHEOPERE was void of early speed, saved ground through the turn and did not menace. JAZZ MAN DO set a pressured pace from the inside, weakened after going a half and was eased through the lane.
