Chart notes
PASAMONTE MAN tracked the leaders from the inside, angled out into the stretch and wore down ONOMATOPOEIA in the closing yards. ONOMATOPOEIA pressed the pace of ROCKTHEPULPIT while racing three-wide, moved up to offer a bid nearing the five-sixteenths pole, opened a clear margin into the lane but could not resist the winner late. SOUTHWESTERN HOPE was reserved just off the leaders early, moved four-wide through the turn and failed to gain late. STELLARSBLUERIBBON was forwardly placed early, moved three-wide through the turn, raced in tight quarters in mid-stretch and failed to gain late. LOVER BOY BOB was void of early speed, raced five-wide through the turn and was not a factor. YANO'S WAY lagged early, raced six-wide through the turn and did not reach contention. ROCKTHEPULPIT set a pressured pace from the inside and weakened through the final furlong.
