Chart notes
RUNNINSONOFAGUN bumped with a rival at the start, settled under some urging, moved in near the nine-sixteenths, went three wide around most of the turn, shifted five wide late on that bend, gained to a make a bid at the quarter-pole then took the lead into upper stretch, was headed by the runner-up outside the sixteenth-pole, fought back gamely to the wire and narrowly prevailed under strong urgig. EASTERN BAY settled off the pace, was urged along passing the half-mile pole, went three wide on the turn, swung seven wide into the stretch, rallied on the far outside, closed well to get a short lead outside the sixteenth-pole, fought with the winner to the wire and was denied while able to get the place. FACTOR IT IN brushed with a rival at the start, settled off the pace, went around the turn in the two path, was put to a drive while coming between horses in upper stretch, chased into the final sixteenth and finished with good courage to get the show. GREELEY AND BEN was hustled from the start, chased the pace down the backstretch, went three wide on the turn, made a bid between foes at the five-sixteenths, fought on well under a drive in the stretch but missed the trifecta. DRAFTED brushed with an opponent at the start, was urged along near the back, went two then three wide on the turn, was driven five wide into the stretch, gained strongly into the final furlong and finished with willingly but missed the superfecta. STEINBECK chased the pace down the backstretch, went four wide on the turn, made a bid at the five-sixteenths, dropped back under a drive into the final furlong and weakened. JALEN JOURNEY raced at the rear while urged along on the outside, went four wide on the turn, came six wide into the stretch and was no factor. JAXON TRAVELER was guided in by the rider while hustled from the start then came in and bumped MERAAS hard, chased that foe down the backstretch, saved ground on the turn and came up empty. REPO ROCKS bumped with a rival at the start, settled on the outside, was urged five wide on the turn, came six wide into the stretch and failed to respond. MERAAS (GB) was hustled from the gate, showed speed on the inside then was bumped hard by JAXON TRAVELER, showed the way from that juncture, moved clear outside the half-mile pole, vied inside around the turn, lost the lead near the quarter-pole and faded.
