Chart notes
AMUSING WAY stalked the pace from the rail, gained the advantage turning for home, and held safely. MUSIC HOUR broke alertly then sat in striking range in the three path, closed well outside but was no match for the winner late. REMAIN CALM lacked early speed then rallied late to earn show. RUN ROSSCO RUN emerged the leader leaving the chute, dueled through the far turn outside of AMUSING WAY, and came up empty in the drive. DUKE OF DEWINTON lacked a serious bid. SPIRIT RACER stalked the pace and was outrun. PEPPER HEAD dwelt at the start, remained in the gate, did not finish and was walked off. STEWARDS INQUIRY- The Stewards conducted an inquiry into the start of the race involving PEPPER HEAD. After review PEPPER HEAD was deemed to have had a fair start and dwelt at the start.
