Chart notes
PHANTOM MAC attended the pace in the two to three path off the rail, led the way into the lane, responded to challenge from MUCHO MAGIC, and held under a late drive by TRICKY SPEEDSTER. TRICKY SPEEDSTER was never far back while in the four path, waited in traffic at the head of the lane, came under heavy urging in the final sixteenth and missed after a determined try. MUCHO MAGIC sat just off the pace, dropped back in the far turn, moved up menacingly at the three sixteenth pole but was unable to sustain the bid that was needed and weakened inside. SNAP COUNT stalked in the four path, loomed boldly entering the lane, and flattened out. LITTLE CHICAGO jostled away, chased in the far turn, rallied five wide into the stretch and was unable to improve position late. WYE CROSS lacked a serious bid. FULL VELOCITY chased outside, and lacked the kick that was needed. TIMELY RUCKUS tracked inside, lodged a rail bid at the quarter pole, and gave way.
