Chart notes

SEEULATERGATOR dueled for the lead on the inside up the backstretch, kicked clear while racing in the two path around the turn and held that margin to the wire. MORO APPEAL stalked the leader on the outside through the opening quarter of a mile, navigated the turn from the four path, began a bid approaching the quarter pole and gained ground late. WILD FIREMAKER chased the leaders on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and kept on in the lane. SOUTHERN SUMMER raced well behind the field at the back of the pack in the early going, came around the turn in the two path and improved position mildly in the stretch and never threatened. SHANGHAI MIKE trailed the field in the early going, navigated the turn from the three path and made no bid. ALWAYS A TIZ dueled on the outside up the backstretch, continued to battle from the three path around the turn and tired in the stretch.
