Chart notes
MIDNIGHT FIRE was placed close up on the leaders on the inside, slipped through at the five sixteenths pole to draw off and held on late. PICKENS was forwardly placed in the three path, had to steady before the quarter pole, made a rebid from three wide move into the stretch but couldn't catch the winner but proved second best. KING OF THE COURT raced five wide early then dropped in four wide going into the turn but gave way in the stretch. COLONEL KLINK saved ground around the turn then moved out to three wide at the eighth pole and passed tiring rivals. MOTAWAAFEQ was last away, made a mild bid in the stretch and finished well. DANCIN WITH ANGELS vied for the lead from the two path and weakened. MISTS OF TIME was void of speed and not a threat. GUITAR DOCTOR had the early speed from the three path and tired.
