Chart notes
GREAT KING (FR) dueled between horses up the backstretch, battled from the two and three path around the turn, kicked clear in upper stretch and held that margin to the wire. PETULANTE raced in the middle of the pack on the inside early, came around the turn in the two path and gained ground in late stretch. HAPPY CAJUN brushed with the horse to his inside leaving the gate, recovered to duel on the rail up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and weakened in the final furlong. ALEXIS S raced in the middle of the pack between horses early, saved ground around the turn and finished evenly. BRUCE BANNER trailed the field through the opening quarter of a mile, navigated the turn from the two path and was not a threat. FLASH KISS raced off the pace through the opening stages, saved ground around the turn and showed no kick. DUKE SKYWALKER pressed the pace from the outside up the backstretch, chased the leader from the three path around the bend and faded in the stretch.
