Chart notes
HOLDING PATTERN last to leave, back early well out in the strip, began to advance four wide early in the turn, challenged on the outside entering the stretch, wore the early leader down by the sixteenth pole, drew clear under steady handling. OJITOS moved up steadily the opening furlong to take control, set the pace along the inside, responded when confronted by the winner into the lane, gave ground grudgingly to that one, saved the place. ORBITAL STARR settled back off the pace and the inside, rallied four wide out of the turn, finished with good energy to be getting to the runner up. OBVIOUSLY TOO in mid pack while along the inside, continued to save ground through the turn, went evenly through the stretch. ROCK CITY ROCKET pressed the runner up from the two path, had little left for the stretch drive. RISKY SITUATION lacked early foot, dropped inside by late in the turn, in some traffic entering the stretch, lacked a closing kick when clear. SERBIAN SAILOR remained always back while racing along the inside. J'S LITTLE MAN forwardly placed in the early going while three wide and between rivals, faded. AFRICAN WARRIOR prompted the pace up the backstretch while four wide into the turn, gave way.
