Chart notes
PETEY shot to a clear lead setting all the pace, was challenged at the top of the stretch but kept on and held sway. MIDNIGHT OIL stalked the pace from the inside down the backstretch then made a rail bid on the final turn, moved out to the two path at the top of the stretch to engage the leader but couldn't match strides and was a clear second. WINNING DANCE was allowed to settle around the first turn then made a three wide bid at the five sixteenths pole, moved out to four wide in upper stretch but could only chase the top two to the wire. ARCH OF SWORDS raced near the back down the backstretch, showed late interest and passed tiring rivals. MACER THE RACER was hustled along to the first turn then stalked the pace from the two path down the backstretch, made a three wide bid at the quarter pole but weakened. KATS PICK was not involved. MALIBU MONEY was through after a half.
