Chart notes
EASTERN BAY stalked the pace down the backstretch, moved up three wide on the turn, secured command turning for home, opened up in upper stretch and held sway under steady handling. YODEL E. A. WHO lacked speed, hugged the inner rail around the turn and into the stretch, swung to the four path inside the eighth pole, raced on his left lead and rallied. BEREN stumbled leaving the starting gate, raced in the two path around the turn, remained in the two path in the stretch and rallied between horses. FACTOR IT IN bore out leaving the starting gate, chased the pace around the turn, was three wide entering the stretch, drifted in near the eighth pole and weakened. SIR ALFRED JAMES lacked speed, was four deep leaving the turn and passed tired horses. PIRATE RICK sped to the early lead, set the pace along the inner rail, lost the lead entering the stretch and gave way the final furlong. JOHN THE BEAR , two wide chasing the pace around the turn, weakened and steadied in close quarters near the eighth pole. MOMOS , steadied in close quarters along the inner rail entering the turn, weakened.
