Chart notes
COASTLINE HOTTIE was off slow, rushed up to vie, opened a clear margin nearing the five-sixteenths pole and drew off through the lane as the easiest of winners. EDDIE'S ON PATROL was reserved just off the leaders early, saved ground through the turn, was no match for the winner but finished well to hold the place. MS FLASHY HARBOR broke sharply to duel for the lead from the inside and gave way in the drive. PAISLEY'S VISION disputed the pace while racing three-wide, drifted out nearing the quarter and weakened. PHOENICIAN MAGIC showed no early speed, raced six-wide through the turn and was eased through the lane. THE RACE WAS HAND TIMED.
