Chart notes
LAW PROFESSOR coaxed from the gate, raced along the rail into the first turn inside a pair of rivals before easing off to tip out briefly two wide before heading three wide midway on the opening bend, settled four paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked three wide into the far turn and advanced on the leader from the outside taking command at the five-sixteenths, came under coaxing near the quarter pole and swung three then two wide at the head of the stretch straightened away, edged clear under a drive to prevail. KEYSTONE FIELD coaxed from the start, raced three wide forwardly placed into the first turn and took over command midway, tucked to the two path into the backstretch and showed the way through moderate splits in hand, came under growing pressure through the far turn from the outside and was placed to coaxing at the three-eighths, yielded the front with five-sixteenths to go, swung four wide into upper stretch and chased the winner home clear of the rest to be along second best. MILES D forwardly placed just off the inside through the first turn, tracked the leader from just off the pace three then two wide, came under urging at the five-sixteenths, angled six wide into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages while along for the show honors. PORTOS settled three then two wide in pursuit from the tail of the field, came under coaxing three furlongs from home, angled four wide at the top of the stretch and offered up a mild bid. CURLIN'S WISDOM coaxed from the gate, raced just off the inside through the first turn before chasing four then three wide, came under coaxing at the three-eighths, went six to seven wide into upper stretch and weakened. FOREWARNED coaxed from the start, chased just off the inside through the first turn before chasing four to five wide down the backstretch and through the far turn, came under coaxing at the seven-sixteenths, went seven wide for home and made no impact. BOURBONIC got pinched back between foes just after the start losing his lane, chased just off the inside, came under coaxing along the inside at the three-eighths, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and was unable to make an impact.
