Chart notes
CHARITABLY GIFTED chased and raced close in the three path on the turn, dueled to the front mid-stretch and drew clear under steady handling. LION OF THE SEA chased through the backstretch, raced near the rail on the turn, came between horses mid-stretch and held on for second. POLITICAL DECISION chased the pace, rounded the turn about the five path, left the turn outside and dug in to take third under the wire. CHIEF HOWCOME gave chase, raced in the three path on the turn, ran evenly in the lane and was nipped from third at the wire. ABOUT TO RAGE chased the pace, raced two deep on the turn, ran evenly in the lane and drifted to the outside later yards. HELL'S KITTEN pressured the pace, contested even terms two deep on the turn then weakened mid-stretch. VICTORIOUS BEAR set a pressured pace leaving the half mile pole, contested even terms nearest the rail on the turn then gave way from mid-stretch. BAYTOWN JAKESTER became fractious in the gate and pressured the pace inside, steadied at the rail at the five sixteenths pole and faded through the turn. Billingsgate became fractious in the gate and was a late scratch.
