Chart notes

ROYAL PATRONAGE (FR) tugged three wide in midpack around the first turn, tracked in hand around the far turn, tipped to the five path at the three sixteenths pole, bid while flopping back to his left lead at the furlong grounds, gained an advantage while changing to his correct lead at the sixteenth pole, and held off an outer bidder late. COMMANDEER stumbled at the start, settled unhurried in the three to two paths around the first turn, swung out to the seven path in upper stretch, rallied while flopping back to his left lead at the furlong grounds, sustained a charge after changing back to his right lead at the sixteenth pole, offered a late bid, but was staved off. TIBERIUS MERCURIUS tracked two wide and between horses, tucked to the inside entering the backstretch, pursued from the two path around the far turn before tipping to the four path in upper stretch, gained to bid along with an outer rival at the furlong grounds, but was outkicked by an outer pair entering the final sixteenth. KUPUNA bumped with an outer rival at the start, stalked along the inside, moved to press outside of the leader at the three quarter pole, vied in the three path around the far turn, led at the three sixteenths pole while hanging on his left lead, changed over while embracing an outer challenge at the furlong grounds, but was outkicked by outer rivals nearing the final sixteenth. READY TO PURRFORM laid off of the pace two wide and between horses, came under urging turning for home, and offered a mild response to stay on evenly. HOT BLOODED bumped with an inner rival at the start, saved ground in midpack, but lacked a kick two wide in midstretch to offer a bid. JUNGLE WARFARE lacked speed along the inside, gradually shifted ground outwardly in upper stretch, and moved up. DOMINICAN PIONEER bore to the three path while setting the pace into the first turn, settled into stride in the two path soon after, vied with an outer bidder down the backstretch, dueled around the far turn, but got headed at the three sixteenths pole, and faded. TWO BIRDS laid off of the pace three wide, and lacked a rally while hanging on his left lead. KITTANSETT hopped while breaking multiple lengths slow at the start, lagged behind, and cut the gap on the rest of the field in upper stretch. FENWICK STATION stalked three wide, pressed entering the backstretch, chased the top pair from the four path around the far turn, then weakened between horses.
