ROSE MADDOX settled in the second flight in the early running, saved ground into the backstretch run, maintained her position while two wide into the second turn, angled four wide in upper stretch, made a mild gain at mid-stretch, rallied inside of the furlong pole, overtook EVER SMART in deep stretch and held in a drive in the final strides to prevail. NADETTE (FR) bobbled leaving the start and was off a step slowly, was unhurried in the early going, saved ground into the backstretch run, maintained her position to the far turn, raced two wide into the second turn, was roused four wide into the drive, closed well inside of the furlong marker, came within aim inside of the sixteenth-pole, surged in deep stretch and just missed for the win, while outfinishing her stablemate for second. EVER SMART broke alertly, contested the early pace with BUYBACK, kept close attendance to that rival through the backstretch run, lost a bit of ground on the second turn, re-rallied and vied for the lead at mid-stretch, took command inside of the furlong pole and led to the sixteenth-marker, was overtaken in deep stretch by ROSE MADDOX and was outfinished for second, while holding for third. BUYBACK disputed the early pace with EVER SMART, set moderate fractions while contesting the lead with that rival into the backstretch run, maintained a narrow lead into the far turn, battled with EVER SMART to mid-stretch, lost the lead to that foe inside of the furlong pole, weakened in deep stretch and was outfinished for third. SIGNORINA MERISI (GB) was forwardly placed in the early stages, stalked the pace while saving ground into the backstretch run, lost a bit of ground heading into the second turn, was outrun in upper stretch, re-rallied inside of the furlong marker but was outkicked in the final stages. ASCENDANCY settled outside of a rival in the early stages, maintained her position along the backstretch run, was steered four wide into the second turn, came in a bit tight and waited for room nearing the quarter marker, swung widest and came six wide into the stretch, closed willingly inside of the furlong pole and found her best stride late. AUSTRALIA MIA settled off of the moderate early fractions, improved position on the backstretch run while not far back, was steered four wide on the second turn, was roused five wide into the stretch, lost ground at the furlong marker, re-rallied in the final stages but could not muster the needed late response. CLOCKSTRIKESTWELVE was allowed to settle, saved all of the ground to the second turn and did not threaten in the stretch. ANTHONYS CLEOPATRA was a bit keen in the early stages, chased the moderate pace while three wide along the first turn, advanced along the backstretch run, raced three wide into the second turn while within aim, was outrun heading to the furlong pole and did not rally. TAM'S LITTLE ANGEL stalked the moderate early pace, lost position along the backstretch run, was outrun while two wide on the far turn, swung three wide into the stretch and tired in the drive.
