Chart notes
CLASSIC DANCER pressed for top spot inside down the backstretch, assumed command at the half mile marker, was pressured outside while leading on the turn, entering the top of the stretch with a slim lead, found more at the furlong marker and was edging away in the end. KID MARVELOUS hopped at the break, regrouped to stalk nicely outside in the second flight entering the turn, loomed three wide two furlongs from the prize, but could not gain on the winner through the entire stretch and settled for the runner up share. MOONQUEST tracked on the fence behind the frontrunners, was nudged along for more midway on the turn, angled out four wide for the stretch run and was inching closer but could not threaten for the top two in the end. WHERE IS ESSA broke sharp to lead in the early going, surrendered the front while still in hand as they were entering the turn, rallied to bid between foes at the quarter marker and stalled in upper stretch holding for a small piece. UPTOWN LIGHTS rated inside mid pack early on, was headstrong briefly nearing the half mile marker, made little impression on the fence through the turn and continued on the rail for the stretch drive but to no avail. MAGNIFICENT MARIO was situated near the back of the field in the beginning stages, fell behind runners three furlongs from home and angled out widest in the stretch to pass a weary runner racing to the finish. STREET MAX trailed outside through the backstretch, moved up one position as they raced on the turn and lagged travelling on the fence down the lane.
