Chart notes
METEOR SHOWER stalked the pace racing in hand, rallied two-wide into the stretch and finished fast to be up in the final strides. SENSIBLE LUTE saved ground setting the pace, settled into the stretch with a clear lead and just failed to last. STARRY BEACH was allowed to settle in stride while three-wide on the turn, angled in during the drive and closed strongly. SHORT JOURNEY hopped slightly at the start, then saved ground while being unhurried, was in tight from the three-eighths pole to the quarter pole, angled out and finished willingly when clear. A LITTLE GRACE was reserved off the the pace while racing slightly off the rail and lacked a rally. SPARKLES AND SPURS dropped back early, raced three-wide on the turn and failed to threaten.
