Chart notes
LATE FOR LUNCH vied inside of CHEETS for the lead in opening stages, continued to battle for command around the turn, shook free and cleared command in upper stretch and finished going away. ROWDY RAY raced near midpack in early stages, picked up the pace late on the turn, swung four wide into the stretch run, sustained bid down the lane and dug in to capture place. TAP THE BRAKES raced off the early pace, saved ground then hustled up turning for home, roused forward in upper stretch, sustained response and got nipped for place. IOWA CLUB was not too far back in early stages, hustled along two wide into the lane, ran on with interest but lacked the needed surge for serious impact. DREADPIRATEROBERTS raced off the pace in the opening quarter, roused forward to threaten midway around the turn, swung five wide into the lane and flattened out. CHEETS dueled outside of the eventual winner up the backstretch, battled on around the turn then weakened in the lane. MAFIA DON raced in back throughout.
