Chart notes
SHELBY GOLD was reserved off the early pace while saving ground, moved up along the inside to catch the leaders nearing the quarter pole, dueled for the lead from that point and prevailed in a stiff drive. RESERVOIR vied for the lead while racing slightly removed from the rail, responded when challenged and held on gamely during the drive. DONNE CATTIVE was prominent early while racing six-wide, angled in to be three-wide entering the stretch and earned the show in a steady effort. OLIVIA'S CHOICE (IRE) was unhurried early, then was carried out nearing the three-eighths pole when DRIVEWAY checked, then came five-wide into the stretch and was gaining late. PRINCESS PAYTON vied for the lead from between horses to the stretch and weakened. QUEENSBORO showed early speed while racing four-wide and tired. DRIVEWAY vied for the lead while racing five-wide, checked from between horsed nearing the three-eighths pole and gave. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE INCIDENT NEARING THE THREE-EIGHTHS POLE BUT AFTER VIEWING THE FILMS MADE NO CHANGE IN THE ORDER OF FINISH.
