Chart notes
FUN CITY was prominently placed while racing three-wide, moved up to engage LET GEORGE DO IT nearing the eighth pole, was bumped by that one approaching the sixteenth pole and drew clear late. LET GEORGE DO IT saved ground setting the pace, responded when asked, came out nearing the sixteenth pole to bump the winner and held on well for the place when straightened. MR. BUGS saved ground while being up close early, slipped through during the drive and went evenly late. REKLEINING was unhurried early, came three-wide into the stretch and improved his position. HE'S A FLYIN chased the early pace from along the inside, angled out nearing the quarter pole and tired. QUALITY GRANDSON dropped back early and failed to threaten. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE INCIDENT NEARING THE WIRE BUT AFTER VIEWING THE FILMS RULED THAT LET GEORGE DO IT CAUSED THE INTERFERENCE.
