Chart notes
MADELYN BELLE was bumped at the start by BELPERRON, then was forwardly placed while three-wide, came four-wide into the stretch and closed strongly to prevail narrowly in a stiff drive. BELPERRON broke out to bump with the winner, then prompted the issue while racing two-wide, took the lead nearing the eighth pole, responded when challenged and held on gamely to the wire for second. RARE ACTION ATTACK saved ground while being unhurried, slipped through during the drive and finished fast to just miss. TAR HEEL GIRL was reserved off the pace, came three-wide into the stretch, angled in nearing the eighth pole. split rivals and appeared to gain a slight lead inside the sixteenth pole before shying away from BELPERRON nearing the wire and finished willingly to lose a tough decision. GOOD MONGOLIA was allowed to settle, came two-wide into the stretch, was briefly in tight nearing the eighth pole when TAR HEEL GIRL came in and finished willingly when clear. PEACH COBBLER was three-wide on the turn while being reserved off the pace, came five-wide into the stretch but lacked a rally. HEAVENLY SCENT vied for the lead into the stretch while racing removed from the rail, was briefly in tight nearing the eighth pole while tiring.
