Chart notes
EL RAYO was three wide into the first turn, then rated two wide and from between rivals, came two wide into the lane and made a three wide bid in the lane and got up late to prevail under a drive. MODIFIER was reserved early on the inside, shifted out on the turn and advanced four wide into the lane, then angled out and closed well on the outside to just miss. FORWARD CURVE set the early pace on the inside, then vied for command on the inside, made a bid off the turn to shake clear by the furlong marker but was caught in deep stretch. SPORT PEPPER shifted out to prompt the pace three wide early, then went up to vie for command three wide, drifted out leaving the turn and faded. COMING UP ACES was settled back on the inside, swung out five wide leaving the turn and had a mild late rally. FASTBYTE was settled three wide early, came wide into the lane and had no kick. VERRAZANOINTHESKY chased the pace on the inside and weakened. GATE CREW was four wide into the first turn, chased the early pace four wide, then was three wide on the far turn and weakened. AVIANO lagged early and then was pulled up into the first turn, walked off. There was a STEWARDS INQUIRY concerning the pulled up horse but the race was left as is.
