Chart notes
DRENA'S STAR set the pace on the inside, opened up a clear lead on the turn, responded when roused in the stretch run, then held well late under energetic handling. SOUPER FLY OVER raced off the pace between rivals, chased on the turn, came five wide into the lane, rallied outside, was floated wide passing the sixteenth marker and closed well late for second. SNEAKINESS chased outside, then two wide on the turn, rallied between rivals in the stretch drive and was outkicked for the place spot. PUDDING raced off the pace inside, chased on the turn, angled out sharply at the eighth pole, drifted out and rallied mildly. DIZZY GILLESPIE raced three wide off the pace, chased on the turn, came six wide into the lane and tired. SMALL REASON chased close up on the inside, chased on the turn and tired. JOHNNY OIL was outrun.
