Chart notes
STARSHIP EMPIRE tracked the pace, angled out down the backstretch, drew off through the second turn, then increased his margin in the stretch and was kept to the task. CHOCOLATE PHILLING allowed to settle, moved up three and four wide through the second turn, came four wide into the stretch and closed well for the place. TAMANRASSETT well placed and outside, angled in and moved up on the two path through the second turn, came three wide into the stretch, evened and held the show. TRAPPEZOID sprinted to a clear lead in the early going, stayed on when challenged down the backstretch, then weakened the final furlong and held a share. SURF AND TURF was never involved.
