Chart notes

DRINKWITHTHESTARS took the lead at the half mile pole and rated the early pace, came under pressure at the rail on the turn and held on well under steady handling. GRAND FIBER angled in on the chute then gave chase through the backstretch, raced off the rail on the turn and finished well. DARK HEDGES chased inside, raced near the rail on the turn and finished well. BIG HAMBONE chased outside, raced in the six path on the turn and showed little in the lane. WIDGET FACTORY chased through the backstretch, rounded the turn about the four path and weakened in the stretch. PROTA chased, raced in the three path on the turn then weakened. NOMO RON was shuffled back on the chute, suffered a fatal injury leaving the seven sixteenths pole and had to be euthanized.
