Chart notes
ORDER OF MERIT stalked the leaders on the outside up the backstretch, came around the turn in the two path, began a bid passing the quarter pole and gained ground late to get up for the win in the final strides. SIDETOWN brushed with the horse to his outside leaving the gate, led the way between horses up the backstretch, saved ground around the bend and dug in gamely in the lane but was caught at the wire. CHARLIECANDO raced off the pace between horses through the opening quarter of a mile, continued around the turn in the two path, began a bid between horses in upper stretch and gained ground late. FIRE EXTINGUISHER trailed the field early, raced in the three path around the turn and gained ground in late stretch. REVEREND AJ chased the pace setter on the inside through the opening stages, navigated the bend from the three path and weakened in the final furlong. BROTHER AARON raced off the pace on the outside up the backstretch, came around the turn in the two path and passed tiring horses in the lane. WHOOPING JAY raced in the middle of the pack on the inside in the early going, continued around the turn in the three path and finished evenly. BAYRON brushed with the horse to his inside at the start, raced at the back of the pack on the outside early, swung out to the five path to began a bid coming around the turn and flattened out in the stretch. TRAPPE VALLEY raced off the pace on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the bend and showed no kick.
