Chart notes
ALEMAN stalked the pace on the outside, gained a striking position on the two path through the second turn, bid outside the leader into the stretch, made a steady gain and edged ahead late. DISASTER RECOVERY sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, stayed on when challenged into the stretch, then weakened late and held the place. BEE WELL tracked the pace, saved ground through the turns, angled three wide into the stretch, evened out and held the show. BUNDABURG allowed to settle, looped up four wide through the second turn, angled widest into the stretch and could not gain. INBOUND well placed, steadily lost ground. RUGBY ROAD slow to get in stride, gained position quickly down the backstretch, lost some ground through the second turn, then faded into the stretch.
