Chart notes
LONG TALL WOMAN was kept close behind the early speed, commenced her bid three wide on the bend, angled in some for the drive, took the advantage upper stretch and began to draw off approaching the final sixteenth. APOLLO U ANYWHERE broke alertly, was sent to the inside, moved clear of the others on the turn, was challenged in the lane, did not have enough left inside the last eighth but was clearly second best. BETHY prominent from inside on the backstretch, retreated into the bend, gradually angled out, came into the lane from path four and caught BEIRUT BEAUTY for third late. BEIRUT BEAUTY pressed the early speed from outside, was two wide on the turn, drifted out to path six entering the lane then gradually drifted out to the wire. MISS WINDY SLEW failed to menace in a wide trip. PRINCESS STELLA (IRE) pressed from between rivals but faded from inside on the bend.
