Chart notes
BANYAN BREEZE well placed and outside, gained position on the two path through the turn, bid outside the leader into the stretch, made a steady gain, edged ahead at the furlong marker, then drew off late and was kept to the task. GAMBLER ROCKET sent from the gate, was hard to rated inside on heels, settled through the turn and came through on the two path into the stretch, then made a steady gain and edged up for the place in the final strides. GENERAL WINSTON mid pack, moved up two and three wide through the turn, fanned four wide into the stretch, flattened the final furlong and gained the show. IRISH UNITY sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, stayed on when challenged into the stretch, then weakened the final furlong and held a share. SUMMERFEST unhurried, moved up three and four wide through the turn, fanned widest into the stretch and ran evenly. UNFLAPPABLE MAX well placed, steadily lost ground. WOODCHUCK was never involved.
