Chart notes

TAM'S LITTLE ANGEL showed speed leaving the start and was prominent in the opening stages, ceded the early lead to NAUGHTY NADINE and tracked the fast pace through the backstretch run, raced three wide into the far turn and loomed nearing the quarter pole, took command into upper stretch and drove to a clear lead at the furlong marker, drew off into the final sixteenth and was ridden out to the finish to be much the best. SIGNORINA MERISI (GB) rated off of the fast early pace and tracked three wide into the first turn, maintained that three wide path into the backstretch run and tracked the fast pace approaching the half-mile marker, made a mild gain three wide at the quarter pole and continued to advance at mid-stretch, was outkicked inside of the furlong pole, was no match for the winner in the final sixteenth and ran on to be second best. ASSIGNATION was allowed to settle leaving the start, saved ground into the first turn then was guided to the two path into the backstretch run, was unhurried through the first half-mile, saved ground into the far turn and advanced heading to the quarter pole, tipped two wide for the drive and continued to gain ground heading to mid-stretch, split rivals at the furlong pole, could not match strides with the top pair in the late stages and ran on in the final sixteenth to be clear for third. ARINA (GER) took back off of the fast early pace, settled two wide into the first turn then was guided three wide for the backstretch run, raced two wide into the far turn, swung to the three path into the stretch and gained ground at the furlong marker, lacked the needed response in deep stretch and was outfinished for third in the final sixteenth. CLOCKSTRIKESTWELVE was squeezed by neighboring rivals at the start and was away a bit slowly, was unhurried in the early going and saved ground into the first turn, saved all of the ground while settling through the backstretch run, swung to the four path into the stretch and passed tired rivals in the late stages. ZAZEN forwardly placed leaving the start, was keen and pulled on the rider along the first turn, engaged with NAUGHTY NADINE into the backstretch run and pressed the pacesetter through fast fractions, kept close attendance to NAUGHTY NADINE into the far turn, lost position into the stretch and chased to the furlong grounds, could not keep pace into deep stretch and tired. NAUGHTY NADINE (GB) showed speed away from the start, vied for the early lead with TAM'S LITTLE ANGEL then assumed command into the first turn, was engaged by ZAZEN entering the backstretch run and was pressed by that rival while carving fast fractions to the half-mile marker, continued to be hounded by ZAZEN into the far turn, was overtaken by TAM'S LITTLE ANGEL into upper stretch, chased to the furlong grounds and gave way in deep stretch.
