AUSPICIOUS STYLE tracked the early pace from the second flight, raced three wide into the backstretch run and tracked outside of rivals approaching the half-mile marker, was well placed heading to the far turn and was roused three then four wide approaching the quarter pole, swung to the five path into upper stretch, loomed at the furlong marker, battled with STONE'S RIVER into the final sixteenth, bested that game rival in deep stretch and edged away in the final strides to prevail. STONE'S RIVER was prominent leaving the start and vied for the lead into the first turn, assumed command and set the pace into the backstretch run, was well handled through decent fractions approaching the half-mile pole, showed the way to the quarter marker while in hand, drifted to the two path into upper stretch and kept to task to the furlong grounds, met the bid of AUSPICIOUS STYLE into the final sixteenth, was gamely bested by the winner in deep stretch and held safely in the end for second. ENOS SLAUGHTER was allowed to settle leaving the break, tucked in to the rail and saved ground along the first turn, settled through the backstretch run while not far back, came in tight into the far turn and was blocked nearing the quarter pole, continued to race in traffic into upper stretch, gained ground nearing mid-stretch and swung six wide at the furlong marker, needed more in the final sixteenth and outfinished PHOSPHORESCENCE in deep stretch to secure third. PHOSPHORESCENCE (FR) was squeezed at the start but was away in good order, rated off of the early pace and tracked from the second flight, raced two wide and between runners into the backstretch run, maintained that position heading to the half-mile marker, came in tight while between and two wide approaching the quarter pole, slipped to the inside into upper stretch and gained ground at the furlong marker, was outkicked into the final sixteenth and was edged for third in the final strides. MOTHER'S PRAYER was forwardly placed away from the start and tracked the early pace, raced three wide along the first turn and was well placed into the backstretch run, tracked the decent pace to the half-mile marker, gained ground three wide at the quarter pole, swung to the four path into the stretch, continued to advance into the drive and came within range at the furlong pole, could not sustain his run into deep stretch and weakened. ONE FAST BRO was unhurried away from the start, lagged through the backstretch run, saved ground into the far turn while trailing, swung to the four path into the stretch and did not threaten. EL ALTO HOMBRE showed speed away from the start and vied for the early lead, took back and stalked the pace into the first turn, maintained a two wide path into the backstretch run and stalked the decent fractions to the half-mile marker, advanced two wide heading to the quarter pole, came three wide into the stretch, chased to the furlong grounds and faded in the late stages. DESHAMBEAU was forwardly placed away from the start and saved ground into the first turn, stalked the decent pace through the backstretch run, saved all of the ground into the far turn, lost postilion at the quarter pole, dropped back into the stretch and tired in the final furlong.
