Chart notes
COMPANY CLOWN gave chase through the backstretch and rounded the turn about the three path, dug in for the lead later yards and drew clear toward the wire. HEY BOOTS gave chase inside, appeared to scrape the rail passing the five sixteenths pole then dug in leaving the turn and took second the final yards. MR TINGLES angled to the inside while setting a pressured pace, rounded the turn near the rail, drifted toward the head of the lane, gave up the lead inside the sixteenth pole and flattened late yards. STORM BOARDER (CHI) chased outside, raced in the five path on the turn and ran evenly to late stretch before flattening stride. TOO BAD JUSTICE gave only distant chase while saving ground. BAYTOWN WARRIOR bobbled at the break then gave chase, raced in the four path on the turn and showed little in the lane.
