Chart notes
RED HOT TODDY settled off the rail on the first turn, started his bid approaching the three eighths pole and steadily improved from that point, came through the far turn about the four path, dug in from the head of the lane and got up under the wire. THUNDERHOUSE, racing with no front shoes, took over nearing the three quarter pole and moved to the inside to show the way, came under pressure past the five sixteenths pole, raced at the rail on the far turn, dug in leaving the turn but was nipped under the wire. TIME TO CHOOSE stalked from the three path, gave chase toward the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn about the three path then flattened inside the sixteenth pole. ONE CANDY CASTLE raced in the five path the opening turn, gave chase leaving the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn in the three path and showed little in the lane. ASTRAYAL raced in the three path the first turn and showed little response through the backstretch. IRISH FLIGHT stalked off the rail on the first turn, gave chase leaving the half mile pole but weakened at the rail on the far turn.
