GOOD LORD LORRIE brushed with a foe at the start, was taken in hand early, rounded the first turn in the two path, was well spotted behind the leading duo, moved closer late on the backstretch, was asked while inside on the far turn, shifted three wide into the stretch, rallied outside to make a bid near the furlong marker and got up under strong urging. THE BIG TORPEDO traveled around the first turn in the two path, settled on the outside, moved closer late on the backstretch, rallied three wide on the far turn, made a bid at the five-sixteenths pole, took over into upper stretch, led under a drive into the final sixteenth but was caught while able to get the place. WALLEY WORLD saved ground on the first turn, settled towards the rear, was roused three wide on the far turn, chased the top two in the stretch and willingly earned the show. CARSON'S RUN settled on the inside, steadied outside the five-sixteenths while held up on the far turn, moved to the two path late on that bend, steadied off heels approaching the quarter-pole then swerved out badly, came seven wide into the stretch and lacked the needed response. ELYSIAN MEADOWS went around the opening bend in the two path, settled at the rear, went two then three wide on the far turn, was forced out badly approaching the the quarter-pole, came eight wide into the stretch and failed to threaten. WORKS FOR ME brushed with a foe at the start, dueled outside of a rival while in the two path for the opening three furlongs, moved clear outside the half-mile pole, was challenged while inside on the far turn, lost the advantage into upper stretch and weakened. RIDGEWOOD RUNNER dueled on the inside of a rival for the opening three furlongs then dropped off the pace, switched out outside the half-mile pole, was urged in the two path on the final turn and faltered then was eased but walked off. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE RACE, CARSON'S RUN WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM FOURTH AND PLACED FIFTH FOR INTERFERENCE NEAR THE QUARTER-POLE.
