Chart notes
HERO STATUS contested the pace while outside COWBOY MIKE, traded leads with that rival around the final turn while two wide and between rivals, briefly lost lead in upper stretch, regained advantage in drive, brushed with outside rival nearing the wire and dug in under urging to gamely prevail. COWBOY MIKE set or forced the pace from the inside, continued to battle for control from along the rail into the stretch, lost that advantage later in the upper stretch, dropped back slightly then battled back despite being in bit tight along the rail to narrowly miss. MCLAREN VALE broke step slow, settled three wide, moved up on same path, engaged leaders three deep on the second turn, poked his now in front approaching the eighth marker, brushed with HERO STATUS in final yards and was out finished. PIROLI stalked early from the inside, tipped off the rail on the backstretch, shifted four wide leaving the last turn, loomed from the outside in the lane and went willingly to the wire. BRAZENLY chased two wide into the backstretch, was three wide into the far turn, came back in on the final bend and weakened.
