Chart notes
NORTHERN BLEND was forwardly placed while racing three-wide, caught the leaders at the quarter pole, dueled with UNCLE JUJU from that point and prevailed narrowly in a stiff drive. UNCLE JUJU vied with ROYAL CANDY for the lead, shook that one off leaving the quarter pole then responded when challenged by NORTHERN BLEND but wasn't quite able to resist that one in a game effort. GRAMMY WINNER saved ground while being close-up, steadied nearing the quarter pole lacking room then angled out to split rivals and finished willingly when clear. RANCHO RED was forwardly placed racing between horses, steadied briefly while in tight nearing the seven-sixteenths pole, came three-wide into the stretch and finished well in a good effort. VALIDATE was unhurried early, came three-wide into the stretch and rallied late. NATION OF FAITH dropped back early, angled out to be five-wide the final quarter but lacked a rally. ROYAL CANDY vied for the lead from along the inside to the quarter pole and tired.
