WROTE IN STONE well placed and inside, gained a striking position through the turn, gained a short lead into the stretch, shook clear, then was no match for the winner and held the place. THALBERG allowed to settle, moved up two and three wide through the turn, bid three wide into the stretch, made a steady gain and missed the place. AESTHETICALLY unhurried, moved up on the two path through the turn, bid on that path into the stretch, flattened the final furlong and held a share. RESIST THE DEVIL sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, drifted out badly int the stretch and faded. DEVIL OR ANGEL mid pack, steadily lost ground.
