Chart notes
THE RIDGE got away well to set the pace, drew off on the turn for a clear lead and held under steady left handed urging. RED MOSCATO settled off the pace, closed steadily and was gaining fast late. STOLICH was slow early, bid along the rail on the turn and finished well to earn show. CROWN ROYAL KID broke in, shifted out into the turn, bid six wide and came up empty late. DASTARDLY DEEDS saved ground, bid three wide leaving the turn and passed a tiring rival. THE GEEK raced mid pack, lacked a stretch response, gave way and dropped back.
