Chart notes
SPIRIT OF AKRON chased the leader down the backstretch, rallied two wide to make the lead early on the turn, drifted to the middle of the racetrack under left handed urging in upper stretch, the rider switch to right handed urging, drifted in to the three path late and won going away. RAY'S EMPIRE stalked the pace through the turn, swung wide outside the winner, altered course to the four path near the furlong marker and finished clear for second. SHOWTIME BOY sprinted to the lead soon after the start, set the pace into the turn, kept on until mid stretch then weakened. RAMBLER went evenly. MUSIC GEM was no threat. LOTSA MATCHA was no factor.
