Chart notes
PANDAGATE got brushed at the start by B D SAINTS, raced just off the inside through the first turn and loped along at the tail of the field three then two wide down the backstretch, tipped back three wide at the half mile pole and steadily advanced through the turn three to four wide under very light coaxing from the seven-sixteenths, circled the field swinging four then three wide into upper stretch seizing command straightened away, edged away under a drive to the eighth pole, dug in under a left handed crop and shied out a path and held safe kept to task to the finish. DOC SULLIVAN four then three wide through the first turn, chased three then two wide down the backstretch, entered the far turn just off the inside before tucking inside midway, came under coaxing near the quarter pole and split foes at that station from the two path into upper stretch, altered out with three-sixteenths to go as AGGELOS THE GREAT drifted out in front, ran on to chase the winner home offering up a mild kick to be along clear of the rest and second best. LIBERTY CENTRAL broke out a step at the start, raced four then three wide through the first turn before chasing three wide thereafter, came under coaxing at the seven-sixteenths, swung three wide into upper stretch and weakened in the stretch. AGGELOS THE GREAT broke out at the start under coaxing, showed the way three then two wide through the first turn and then just off the inside down the backstretch until tucked inside five furlongs from home, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, took the inside route into upper stretch and yielded the front straightened away, drifted out at the three-sixteenths and tired. B D SAINTS broke out at the start brushing PANDAGATE, raced headstrong three then two wide through the first turn off heels of the leader first and then under restraint to throttle down from being latched on that same leader, finally eased off six and a half furlongs out into the backstretch and was able to tip to be three wide and outside the leader, chased three then two wide coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, spun two to three wide at the top of the stretch and tired.
